Robby is a friend of a couple of girls from San Francisco, for whom we worked as a wedding planner some time ago. We organized a summer wedding for them in the beautiful city of Prague. Working with them was a real pleasure and we were happy when their friend Robby wrote to us with an idea to surprise his boyfriend Daniel with a romantic marriage proposal.
Snow as an Unexpected Bonus during the Proposal
Our team got really excited about the plan, we put our creative hats on and started planning. We made Robby’s dream come true last winter. Eventually everything worked out even better than we expected. We rented the Vrtba garden, a gem among Italian-style baroque gardens, just for the two of them and, as an unexpected bonus, Prague got covered with snowflakes for the special occasion.
How did it go?
Robby kept the ring and the marriage proposal top secret till the very last moment, and when he finally popped the question, Daniel was amazed. And guess what? He said yes!!! Eva and Honza (the photographer) were hiding behind a bush together with a saxophone player, who started to play right after Daniel said: “Yes, I want to marry you”. The atmosphere was joyful when Robby and Daniel clinked their glasses at a table decorated in blue, the colour of the sapphire on Daniel’s engagement ring. It was a moment to remember. We took lots of pictures, while the newly engaged couple enjoyed the moment and the view of the picturesque roofs of Prague covered in snow. It was nice to see two people with “cold hands, but warm heart” shining with happiness. It is one of the biggest challenges for our team: to organize events that perfectly match the couple’s personalities and make them shine.
